This Mexican Beaded Lizard seems to be smiling but is actually raising its head in protest. It is poisonous and recently this particular lizard put its owner, Bill Haast of the Miami Serpentarium, in the hospital. The Gila monster, which looks like a twin to this lizard, is the only poisonous lizard in the U.S. and hails from Arizona.
